GIVE THANKS! // #ChilltownStrong Initiative Updates

#ChilltownStrong

This past Thursday April 9th, 2020 at 8AM EST, Chilltown Collective put on an 24-hour livestream.

WATCH THE BROADCAST CLIPS HERE.

Andrew Zhang of Conundrum on the keys for a blissful start to the broadcast, disc jockeys spinning the chunes every hour, graphics + artwork by @_jahnia (on IG), plus intermissions from our host, Cipha Sounds, Chilltown party #throwbacks, and more. We are blown away by the power of the community, especially in a virtual context. If you were there to experience the love — our team, our loved ones, our PEOPLE — we were VIBING in the live chat for sure.

Our posted #ChilltownStrong GoFundMe fundraiser was really feeling the love all day, and STILL IS.

#CHILLTOWNSTRONG GOFUNDME // DONATE. SHARE.

So far, we have surpassed our halfway mark;

$5,000+ out of $10,000

The GoFundMe page is still open and we are still ever-so kindly accepting donations. If you already donated, thank you! If you’re about to donate, thank you! If you’re sharing this with others so that they might donate, thank you! A little definitely goes a long way. A reminder that proceeds made from this initiative will be put towards providing our local Jersey City medical workers with food from local restaurants, immunity boosters, and personal protective equipment (PPE).

We have already ordered 400 splashguards, which will be distributed across the local Jersey City medical workers listed in our partnerships.

The #ChilltownStrong stream was met with MAD LOVE + SUPPORT.

And well…

#StayTuned + #StayHome with Chilltown Collective! (SUNDAY, APRIL 19, 2020)

NOTE TO OUR MEDICAL WORKERS: Regarding our partnership with LACKAWANNA COFFEE, please read the flyer posted below (left). As noted, LACKAWANNA COFFEE will be offering JC medical personnel with fresh coffee — When ordering, please have VALID EMPLOYEE ID ready! We also suggest bringing your own thermos to keep your coffee warm, and to reduce paper waste.

Thank you to those who work (and save), so that the rest of us can stay safe & #stayhome.
